Today I got asked if I knew of a good free FTP program for Windows. I do... the one I like the best is Pablo Software's FTP Wanderer. It is a multithreaded FTP client with the look-and-feel of
Windows Explorer, and makes moving files between the Internet and your
computer as simple as local file manipulation. It also has the benefit of being a small standalone executable that doesn't require installation, and works under XP, Vista, 2000, and 2003. You can get to the product page to download it from this URL: http://snipurl.com/ftpclient I've personally used the pay program WS_FTP Pro for years, but if I didn't own it already FTP Wanderer would be my personal choice, especially since IPSWITCH, the makers of WS_FTP pro pissed me off last year when they refused to give me an old download of WS_FTP that I owned a key for. FTP Wanderer is also what we use on machines around the office of my company, Mastermind Research.
