I figure I'm overdue for posting some
news about what is going on with some family and friends. Also I
just installed Blogg-X 2.12 for Joomla so I'm testing it out. It
really is a pain in the ass to post with Joomla compared with
bbcode or lightweight blogging scripts like wordpress, so hopefully
this works.
Mr. Jason Branim is now manager of the
internet cafe on the cruise ship Pride of Aloha. A few years ago we went
on a cruise together, and I remember him saying that he thought that would be the perfect job
for him.
A few months ago when talking to him it came up again that he would love to have that job when he graduated, but he had looked and there were no openings. I suggested he email them anyway and tell them how much he wanted the job. He did, and there wasn't any response, and then just a few weeks before he graduated college, out of nowhere they
called and offered him the job. To me that is a universe kinda thing at work.
He started just a couple of weeks ago and has really been enjoying it so far. And just to prove that you can take
the boy out of Georgia, but you can't take the Georgia out of the
boy he called me the other day, from Maui, and when I asked where
he was at, he said "Wal-Mart". All the way to Hawaii to go to Wal-Mart... sheesh. Couldn;t you find a wiki-wiki mart or something more interesting? Anyway, If you are reading this Jason, I
love you buddy, and I am very proud of you.
